Mongra Saffron is made from the deep crimson-red coloured stigmas which are enriched with the essential nutrients. Mongra is the purest form of Kashmiri Saffron. Mongra contains more pigment than the other varieties of saffron giving it is unique hue and aroma - the true test of good quality saffron. Saffron is a powerful antioxidant. It is believed to be good in fighting cancer, hypertension, blood sugar and anxiety.
The saffron flower has three parts, the flower petals are used for medicine and the red strands are pure saffron. The yellow strands are discarded.
How to Use
Saffron can be added to your daily diet. We recommend adding a few strands on your smoothie. You can also add it to your khichdi, a popular rice and lentil dish in India. We do not recommend drinking fruit juice. However, if you like juices, you could have a vegetable juice and add a few strands of saffron to it.
